Job description

We are seeking an exceptional Design Sales Consultant to provide interior design advice, product expertise, and customer follow-up to facilitate sales and enhance customer experience. The role involves using the showroom as a sales tool to drive specifications, sales, and brand awareness.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide interior design advice and product expertise, facilitate tile and stone selection, and support project development, utilizing Auto-CAD where applicable.
  2. Log all client showroom visits, contact details, and customer preferences in CMT; communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure follow-up and sales closure; report closures monthly.
  3. Prospect for new business, especially with Custom Builders and Residential Designers, and follow up on leads to grow business.
  4. Maintain showroom samples and merchandising, including ordering and managing models and displays; coordinate with suppliers and vendors on product offerings and new launches.
  5. Plan and host showroom tours and industry events to drive sales and brand awareness; attend trade events to develop industry relationships.
  6. Work evening and weekend hours as required.
Experience and Knowledge
  • A four-year degree in a related field, four years of experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Skills in sales, customer engagement, design, sketching, blueprints, Auto-CAD, color coordination, design trends, and customer buying habits.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualize solutions for clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; customer management tools are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.

  • Physical requirements include standing, reaching, walking, and lifting up to 80 pounds.
  • Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and temperature variations.
