Our decentralized environment allows each location, called Profit Centers (PCs), to operate as a small business. Each PC includes a warehouse, counter, sales office, and sometimes a showroom, operating under unique trade names tailored to local markets.

KOHLER Signature Store is one such trade name, seeking a Design and Sales Consultant at our Austin, TX location.

Are you outgoing, knowledgeable, and service-oriented? Do you stay current with kitchen and bath design trends? Do you have a keen eye for aesthetics and the drive to close sales? If so, we invite you to join our Showroom team as a Design and Sales Consultant.

About the Role:

You will:

  • Provide expert product selection assistance and design services to showroom customers both in-store and at their locations.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction to meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
  • Welcome customers warmly and provide hospitality.
  • Sell and conduct in-store and/or in-home kitchen and bath design consultations.
  • Communicate our showroom value proposition effectively to engage and educate customers.
  • Assess customer needs, recommend suitable products, address potential hurdles, and facilitate sales progression.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, encouraging referrals and repeat business.
  • Maintain knowledge of product lines and features, leveraging Hajoca technology for product information.
  • Use sales reports and forecasting tools to meet or surpass sales targets.
  • Follow up on leads, generate new business, and manage sales orders and bids.
  • Process showroom sale returns and refunds per company policies.
  • Keep the showroom organized, stocked, and safe.
  • Participate in industry associations and events to stay informed and network.
  • Complete safety and compliance training as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
About You:
  • At least 2 years of experience in plumbing design and sales.
  • Knowledge of showroom products preferred.
  • Experience with luxury, high-end products and clientele.

Additional qualities include:

  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends.
  • Experience with architectural blueprints and aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Deep product knowledge for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Ability to overcome objections and close sales.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with vendors and colleagues.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and multitask.
  • Willingness to learn and operate sales systems.
  • Fluent in English; basic math skills.
