Job summary

ManpowerGroup, the parent company of Experis, Talent Solutions, and Jefferson Wells, is seeking a Design Release Engineer for their Auburn Hills, MI site. The role covers the full design release lifecycle for transmission components, seals, and fasteners within the COE organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ownership mindset, technical communication, and experience driving cross-functional changes across programs.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years experience in propulsion systems, automatic transmissions, or related field.
Understanding of system engineering within automatic transmissions and electric drive units.
Previous DRE experience with OEM and tier-1 suppliers to OEMs.
Proficiency in GD&T, drawing creation, and virtual analysis.

Responsibilities

Manage full life cycle of assigned components and sub-assemblies from requirements to serial life maintenance.
Design and release responsibility for structures, seals and fastener components.
Lead change-management activities and ensure implementation of best practices and lessons learned.
Own technical infrastructure evolution including documentation, specifications, and drawing signoffs.
Drive supplier sourcing, industrialization, and warranty/quality topics for assigned components.
