Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Quality Lead to support the Upper Tier Missile Defense portfolio in Woburn, MA. The role emphasizes early identification of quality issues, collaboration with Engineering and Operations, and driving improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

The successful candidate will bring hardware design and quality experience, RCA proficiency, and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a highly regulated defense environment. Travel is modest and onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree in Science/Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Five years of relevant hardware quality or hardware design experience.
• Experience with data analysis and driving process improvements.
• Active U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Establish partnerships to implement Quality strategies with IPTs and engineering teams.
• Evaluate designs, specifications, testing plans, and equipment for reliability.
• Lead reviews (ERB, CCB, ROMB, MRB) to mitigate defects.
• Advise on design/manufacturing trade‑offs and risk management.
• Drive quality improvements using metrics and process walks.
• Support RCA and corrective/preventive actions across lifecycle stages.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals.
• Occasional travel to Raytheon facilities and suppliers (3‑4 weeks/year).
