Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a senior design/program manager to lead the project design effort for a data center initiative in Houston. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, manage consultants, and ensure design deliverables align with schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include leading concept through IFC documents, coordinating architects and engineers, and mitigating design risks with stakeholders while keeping RFIs and design changes under control.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in design management, project management, architecture, engineering, or related construction discipline.
• 3+ years data center project experience
• 5+ years within project design
• Experience managing project designs from conceptual planning through final construction documents.
• Strong understanding of the design-build or EPC project delivery process.

• Lead and manage the overall project design process from concept through issued-for-construction (IFC) documents.
• Oversee and coordinate all design subcontractors, including architects, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, etc.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all design-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify design risks, conflicts, and gaps early and drive resolutions with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, design changes, and design-related scope modifications.

This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for the project's design effort, managing multiple design consultants and subcontractors while ensuring designs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with project objectives. They will oversee the complete design lifecycle, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, and acting as the bridge between owners, contractors, engineers, architects, and field operations.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in design management, project management, architecture, engineering, or a related construction discipline.
