Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design and preconstruction phases of large-scale data center projects from planning through turnover. You will coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep programs on schedule and within budget.

You will oversee multiple projects, manage third‑party design teams, track deliverables, and partner with Construction Managers throughout the lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Design Management.
• Experience managing design efforts for large commercial or mission-critical construction projects.
• Experience leading projects through preconstruction and design phases.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Data center design or construction experience; familiarity with design-build or IPD delivery methods.

The Design Manager will lead the design and preconstruction phases of large-scale data center projects from initial planning through construction turnover. This individual will coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. They will manage multiple projects simultaneously, oversee third-party design teams, track design deliverables, facilitate stakeholder reviews, and partner closely with Construction Managers throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, balance shifting priorities, and keep complex projects moving forward.

• Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center projects
