Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or BA/BS in Architecture.
• 1-3 years' experience as a design professional.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite software.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Firm grasp of building technology fundamentals.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with many competing priorities.
• Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal/written communication.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently; able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Research or receive technical guidance on unusual or complex issues for proposed projects plans.
• Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions.
• Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects.
• Perform specific and limited portions of assignments for medium to large scale projects using prescribed methods.
• Initiate and create conceptual designs and plans with responsibility for preparation of presentation drawings and construction documents.
• Prepare architectural plans and renderings.
• Review and coordinate conceptual designs from all disciplines.
• Conduct code research and analysis.
• Analyze client/contractor/consultant problems to develop architectural solutions.
• Assist with specifications as assigned.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and/or clients.
• Carry out complex or novel assignments developing new techniques and procedures.
• Perform work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques for smaller scale projects.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs.
• Confirm architectural integrity during construction.
• Perform construction administration including project communications, records, change orders.
• Support business development activities as necessary.
• Perform other duties as directed.
