Job summary

Mcmillan-Pazdan-Smith-2 seeks a Design Professional to lead production and coordination from conceptual design through construction documents, and to provide planning and coordination on large projects. They may manage small projects under the supervision of a licensed architect.

The role requires collaboration with engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients, code research, and preparation of plans and renderings. Strong CAD/BIM and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in architecture or BA/BS in architecture.
• 1-3 years' experience as a design professional.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Strong fundamentals in building technology.
• Excellent time management and prioritization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail orientation and organizational ability.
• Self-motivated and independent; able to work in a team.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Research complex issues and develop design solutions.
• Lead design aspects from concept through construction documents.
• Prepare architectural plans and renderings.
• Review conceptual designs and coordinate across disciplines.
• Conduct code research and analysis.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs; manage construction administration tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Support business development activities as needed.
