Job summary

Renewyx in Los Angeles is seeking a Design Manager to lead the CAD and modeling team for electrical and renewable energy projects. Hybrid role with up to 30% travel.

You will run the department, set technical standards, plan workloads across C&I conceptual through permit sets and utility-scale PV/BESS design, and mentor designers from entry to senior levels. EPC or design-build experience is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical or renewable energy engineering.
• 2+ years managing multiple engineering teams.
• Hands on with AutoCAD and Bluebeam, PVsyst or HelioScope a plus.
• EPC or design build background is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Run the department and own the standard.
• Lead the CAD and modeling team across two project portfolios.
• Plan workload across portfolios and manage design and gate reviews.
• Set the technical standards the department runs on.
• Mentor designers from entry to senior levels.
