Job summary

SoTx Facility Services, LLC in San Diego, CA seeks a qualified facilities controls engineer to support DoD projects across major building systems, including BAS, infant monitoring, access, fire alarm, and elevator controls. The role requires coordinating RMF/ATO activities and maintaining secure configurations.

You will work with ISSMs, develop Plans of Action and Milestones, and prepare weekly project updates. Travel to government facilities is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering (required).
• Minimum of 8 years in construction or engineering field.
• Minimum of 8 years supporting Navy facilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 security investigation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of facility construction, maintenance, engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provide facility-related control systems services for multiple projects (Building Automation, Infant Monitoring, Door Access, Fire Alarm, Elevator Controls).
• Assist ISSM in maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Facility IS.
• Support DoD Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security settings reviews.
• Develop and maintain Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for authorization and lifecycle activities.
• Assist RMF reauthorization when security impacting changes occur.
• Develop new RMF packages and coordinate with contractors and vendors to gather information.
• Provide weekly status reports of ongoing Minor and Major Projects.
• Attend Government meetings as requested.
• Some travel will be required.

Candidate will provide facility-related control systems services for existing systems and equipment for a variety of Minor and Major Projects, including but not limited to the Building Automation System, the Infant Monitoring System, the Door Access Control System, the Fire Alarm System, and the Elevator Controls System. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability for the assigned Facility’s Information System (IS).
• Support the Government with securing, managing, reviewing, and auditing the technical settings to maintain the Department of Defense (DoD) Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Help develop and maintaining Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) on authorization and system lifecycle activities.
• Assist with Risk Management Framework (RMF) reauthorization when security impacting changes have occurred.
• Develop new RMF packages and work with other contractors and vendors to gather and submit required information.
• Provide weekly status reports of ongoing Minor and Major Projects.
• Attend meetings at the Government’s request.
• Some travel will be required.
