Job summary

ACQCENTRIC INC is seeking a seasoned engineer to support integrated engineering, construction coordination, and real property programs in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on facility planning, design, acquisition, construction management, and cost estimation on multi-site projects.

The candidate will contribute to system integration, POAM development, and engineering analyses, while traveling up to 50% to CONUS sites and selected international locations.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering from ABET-accredited university with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• An MS in engineering or a PE option may substitute for seven years of experience.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Capable of supporting planning, design, construction, and sustainment of facilities.
• Willingness to travel 30-40 days at a time, domestically and internationally.

Description

What You'll Be Doing:

• You will be on an integrated team performing engineering and construction integration and operations functions including but not limited to facility planning, design, real property and equipment acquisition, construction management, and cost estimating
• Supporting facility engineering designs, construction project teams, and on-site equipment systems integration activities for building systems and facilities at multiple sites
• Analyzing engineering tasking requirements, establishing mechanical/electrical scope and objectives, and developing Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) documents
• Performing relevant engineering research; assist with developing supporting engineering documents such as briefings, information papers and reports for facilities and infrastructure
• Supporting systems engineering integrated baseline reviews, project change management and acquisition reviews
• Coordinating with internal and external personnel including design and construction agents
• Traveling up to 50% of time, CONUS, OCONUS, and international

Requirements

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• B.S. degree in Engineering, from an ABET accredited university, with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • An M.E. or M.S. degree in engineering plus five years of relevant engineering experience may be substituted for the seven years of relevant engineering experience requirement.
  • A B.S. degree in engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license plus five years of relevant engineering experience may be substituted for the seven years of relevant engineering experience requirement.
• Must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Capable of providing engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance/sustainment of the physical and natural environments, and the administrative and mission facilities and infrastructure of the Agency.
• Possess technical and engineering theoretical knowledge for an electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Capable of working as a team member to solve engineering problems.
• Expertise in execution of facility engineering, studies, and analysis. Works as a member of team and assists with solving complex problems.
• Familiarity with standard U.S. professional office software to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Flexibility to travel/deploy to customer sites for up to 30-40 days at a time, and up to 2-3 times per year. This includes both U.S. and international sites.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency and Department of War projects
• Active Secret Clearance or higher
• Project management experience during site deployment, to include construction, master schedules, budget, and configuration management
• Experience developing policies, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for site activation, system deployment, and site sustainment practices
• Experience developing and implementing program activities; coordinating efforts of multiple stakeholders, prime contractors and subcontractors, and support service personnel
• Experience developing acquisition plans and supporting procurement actions and scopes of work
• Experience mentoring junior level staff members
• Familiar with AUTO CAD or similar drafting tools
