Job summary

WaveWorks Technologies Inc in Seattle is expanding its software and systems team. We seek a strong engineer to own the engineering environment behind our silicon team, spanning software, compute, EDA tools, data and automation infrastructure.

The goal is a reliable, scalable production-like environment that lets IC designers work efficiently. The right candidate will configure and maintain Synopsys, Cadence and Siemens EDA tool suites, govern licenses, automate deployment and integrate CI

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related field plus 3+ years of software or systems engineering experience
• Strong software engineering in Python and at least one other language
• Expert use of Git and version-control workflows
• Deep Linux systems administration: servers, storage, networking, scripting
• DevOps: configuration management, reproducible environments, containers, CI
• Daily use of AI coding agents in engineering work
• High autonomy and breadth to own undefined problems
• Enjoys building critical infrastructure and owning it

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain EDA tool suites and license servers, ensuring a reliable design environment
• Own knowledge of the design environment and document it for long-term independence
• Open and track support tickets, reproduce failures, coordinate with vendors, drive closure
• Run engineering workstations, compute servers, shared storage and access control
• Build reproducible development environments and CI-style workflows around design and test
• Build bench-test automation and instrument-control software for silicon bring-up
• Organize design files and data with version control and metadata tagging
• Write internal tools, data pipelines and build tooling to unblock hardware engineers
• Use AI coding agents to accelerate internal tooling and automation
