Job summary

Design Within Reach is seeking a Sales Assistant in Edina to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help manage inventory and visual merchandising. This is an entry-level, part-time role with growth opportunities in a design-focused environment.

You’ll report to the Assistant Manager and collaborate with sales and visual teams, while learning about our products and design principles through ongoing training. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail.
• Willingness to learn systems like Salesforce and design software.

Responsibilities

• Support order processing, delivery coordination, and client follow-up.
• Help maintain store visual presentation and product displays.
• Assist with inventory of marketing materials, swatches, and office supplies.
• Learn about our products and design principles through training and team meetings.
• Communicate with clients via phone and email to provide helpful service.
