Job summary

Design Within Reach in Scottsdale is seeking a Sales Assistant to support day-to-day store operations, assist with orders, and engage with clients in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will gain hands-on experience in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising while reporting to the Assistant Manager and collaborating with sales and visual teams. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and navigating websites.
• Willingness to learn systems like Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with order processing, delivery coordination, and client follow-up.
• Help maintain the store's visual presentation and product displays.
• Assist with inventory of marketing materials, swatches, and office supplies.
• Learn about products and design principles through training and team meetings.
• Communicate with clients via phone and email to provide friendly service.
