Design Within Reach is seeking a Sales Assistant to support day-to-day store operations and client follow-up. You will help maintain product displays, assist with inventory, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.

You’ll gain hands-on training in sales support, customer service, and visual merchandising while reporting to the Assistant Manager. This is ideal for someone early in their career who wants growth in design-focused retail.

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and navigating websites.
• Willingness to learn systems like Salesforce and design software (we’ll train you!).
• Able to lift over 40 lbs and move items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with day-to-day store operations and client follow-up.
• Assist with inventory of marketing materials, swatches, and office supplies.
• Help maintain store visuals and product displays.
• Provide friendly customer service via phone and email.
• Learn about products and design principles through training and meetings.
