Design Within Reach is seeking a Sales Assistant to support our team in daily store operations, assist with orders and client follow-up, and help maintain compelling product displays. This entry-level role offers hands-on learning in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising within a design-focused environment.

You’ll report to the Assistant Manager and collaborate with sales and visual teams, gaining exposure to the design retail industry while developing key skills

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail or customer service.
• Comfort with common computer tools and web navigation.
• Willingness to learn systems like Salesforce and design software.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with day-to-day store operations.
• Assist with order processing, delivery coordination and client follow-up.
• Maintain store visuals and product displays.
• Inventory of marketing materials, swatches, and office supplies.
• Communicate with clients by phone and email to provide friendly service.
