Job summary

ERMCO, a leading manufacturer of distribution transformers in Dyersburg, TN, seeks a Design Engineering Project Manager to lead product design projects across Strategy Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Manufacturing. A strong engineering background and collaboration across non-technical teams are essential for delivering on time and with high quality.

The role requires planning, organizing, and guiding multi-disciplinary teams through milestones, resource management, and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience actively leading projects with matrixed teams.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and with manufacturing execution systems.
• Experience using MS Teams and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Communicate project objectives aligned with strategic goals and portfolio.
• Provide guidance and motivate teams; establish milestones and objectives.
• Coordinate requirements gathering and stakeholder approvals.
• Convert requirements into tasks and set priorities.
• Review schedules and coordinate resources to meet scope.
• Ensure deliverables, scope, and costs are agreed with stakeholders.
• Balance cost, schedule, and time frames with project needs.
• Drive tasks to completion on time and on budget.
• Define resource capacity and time tracking.
• Identify risks and implement alternative solutions.
• Serve as escalation point to mitigate project risk.
• Manage change control for scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on performance.
• Facilitate clear project communications across audiences.
• Act as liaison between Design Engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Quantify KPI achievement within scope, schedule, cost, quality.
