Job summary

Premier PV is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead a team of design engineers, ensuring successful eBOS product development and engineering deliverables. You will oversee assignments, reviews, and compliance, driving DF M/DFS/DFI in designs and collaborating with procurement and manufacturing.

Ideal candidates bring 8–12 years in engineering with 2–3 years in leadership, ABET-accredited degree, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (ABET-accredited).
• 8–12 years of engineering experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Solid understanding of eBOS products and manufacturing requirements.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop design engineers in technical skills and career growth.
• Assign resources, review work, and ensure timely engineering releases.
• Oversee design reviews, documentation, and engineering packages.
• Drive DF M/DFS/DFI principles within product designs.
• Support cost-reduction and continuous improvement across product lines.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing for design feasibility.
• Maintain alignment with NEC, UL, IEEE, NFPA codes and company standards.
• Lead electrical engineers to develop preliminary design documents per requirements.
• Establish engineering standards and automation to reduce design time and cost.
• Coordinate with estimating to capture scope and client requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and business teams to design efficient PV systems.
