Job summary

ITT Enidine invites engineering students for a 2027 Summer Intern - Design Engineering in Orchard Park, NY. This full-time summer program runs May–August 2027, 40 hours per week, designed to give hands-on experience in vibration isolation, noise attenuation, and shock absorption within aerospace applications.

You will work with experienced engineers, gain exposure to product development processes, and tackle real-world projects that shape aerospace engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (BS/MS/PhD).
• Familiarity with CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supports development of tools or training for deployment of automated solutions and process improvements.
• Assists in product design ensuring compliance with engineering principles and standards.
• Coordinates activities related to technical development, scheduling, costs, and problem solving.
• Supports customer visits, data reviews, and providing technical information.
• Assists with integration of technical activities and products.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supports the development of tools or training to aid engineering groups deployment of automated solutions, additive manufacturing, and process improvements.


• Supports plans and projects emphasized on improving existing products, developing new products, or improving methods of product manufacture or test.


• Assists in product design with compliance to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.


• Coordinates all activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, costing, and resolving engineering design and test problems where appropriate.


• Supports customer visits, data reviews, and providing technical information.


• Supports integration of technical activities and products.


• Works with supervision from engineers or engineering management.


• Establishes test criteria and test analysis of prototype and qualification components.
