Job summary

ITT Aerospace Controls is offering a Summer 2027 Engineering Design Intern internship in Valencia, CA. The role emphasizes hands-on design, analysis, and testing of aerospace components, with emphasis on composites, metals, elastomerics, and aerodynamics.

Eligible students must be pursuing Mechanical Engineering or related field (Junior/Senior preferred) and commit to 40 hours weekly for 12 weeks. Experience with CAD and FEA tools is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and in good standing
• Junior and Senior students are preferred
• Knowledge/experience in CAD design, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident due to export regulations
• 40 hours per week (12 week internship)

Position Summary

Position: Engineering Design Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Valencia, California

Major: Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Technology (Junior or Senior is preferred)

Academic Schedule: May - August 2027 (full-time, 40 hours per week, 12 week internship)

Essential Responsibilities

• Specific experience in the aerospace industry and knowledge of the processes employed is a plus
