Job summary

Spicer Group is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to support Water Resources / Surface Water projects. You will assist with design plans, specifications, permit applications, and calculations, using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and able to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver quality solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil/environmental engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with basic engineering principles and standards.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments to develop professional knowledge applying standard engineering techniques.
• Assist in preparing design plans, specifications, and permit applications.
• Assist in preparing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and cost estimates.
• Utilize HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM for analyses; draft with AutoCAD/Civil 3D/ArcGIS.
• May supervise Technicians and serve as onsite project representative.
