Job summary

Celigo is seeking a Design Engineer to bridge design intent and production, owning from day one within the UX organization. This role collaborates across Product Design, Design Systems, Content Design, and User Research, blending UX craft with engineering to ship production-grade UI.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years building web interfaces with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS, plus strong Figma and design-system experience, accessibility know-how, and a portfolio that proves production-ready

Qualifications

Hands-on expertise designing and building UIs for complex B2B SaaS products.
7+ years building web interfaces with React, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
Cross-functional collaboration with design, product, and engineering teams.
Portfolio showing production-quality UI components and design-system contributions.
Expert-level experience with design token pipelines and linking Figma to code.
Experience building and maintaining a component documentation system (e.g., Storybook).

Responsibilities

Maintain and evolve production-ready React component library (Celigo design system).
Prototype complex interactions and animations in code and ship working versions.
Build AI-assisted workflows by encoding agent rules and context for codebase and Figma libraries.
Enable the UX team by defining workflows and teaching/design pairing with designers and content designers.
Collaborate with Product Designers, Content Designers, and PMs to translate design intent into accessible UI components.
Define interaction states and usage guidelines for engineers to implement designs quickly.
Maintain Figma token architecture and ensure parity with the React system.
Review front-end PRs for design fidelity and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
Identify friction between design and engineering and drive tooling or spec improvements.
Participate in design/content workflows and provide feedback during handoff.
