Job summary

Odin is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to own the full arc of its interfaces—from UX exploration to production‑quality React code. This hybrid design/engineering role shapes Odin's design language and design system across the workforce‑visibility platform for construction sites, while shipping hands‑on in the codebase.

You’ll work with frontend (TypeScript/React) and collaborate with backend engineers on a scalable stack.

Qualifications

• Strong track record as a design engineer or senior product designer who also ships production code.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React building real, production UI.
• Experience building or maintaining a design system/component library.
• Familiarity with the broader stack: Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, GCP (or comparable cloud infra).
• Ability to work independently and drive design decisions with minimal oversight.
• Interest in or experience with construction, industrial, or field‑operations software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own interfaces end-to-end, from UX research and interaction design through shipped, production React code
• Define and evolve Odin's design language and design system used across the product
• Design and build complex interaction patterns for data‑dense, operational construction/security workflows
• Partner closely with product and engineering to translate requirements into polished, usable interfaces
• Write production TypeScript/React code, integrating with GraphQL APIs backed by Node.js and Postgres
• Maintain design and frontend quality/consistency as the product scales across a Kubernetes/GCP infrastructure
• Advocate for design quality and UX craft throughout the engineering organization
