Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a senior frontend engineer to shape design systems across mobile and web. You will build reusable UI components, translate Figma designs into production code, and collaborate with design and engineering teams to promote accessibility and consistency across platforms.

You'll own component libraries, design tokens, and governance for enterprise-wide adoption, while mentoring engineers and leading code reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in web and mobile application development with reusable UI frameworks or design systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React Native and ReactJS.
• Experience turning Figma designs into reusable, production-ready components.
• Strong understanding of design tokens, theming, and scalable branding systems.
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying user-facing web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile, cross-functional, distributed teams.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Experience building or maintaining enterprise design systems, shared libraries, or front-end platforms.
• Comfort with performance optimization and platform-specific iOS/Android considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reusable UI components for mobile and web applications.
• Develop high-quality front-end solutions using React Native and ReactJS.
• Create and support component libraries, design tokens, and shared UI foundations.
• Collaborate with design teams to translate visual designs into production-ready code.
• Ensure components are responsive, accessible, performant, and browser-compatible.
• Support design system governance and adoption across product teams.
• Coordinate releases and manage dependencies with other engineering groups.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, testing, and documentation.
• Promote best practices for architecture, code quality, testing, and accessibility.
• Mentor engineers contributing to shared systems and lead code reviews.
