Hussmann is seeking a Design Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting and developing refrigerated display cases and related products for the food retail industry. You will work with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality releases on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes CAD modeling, CFD/FEA interpretation, and manufacturing-aware design, along with hands-on troubleshooting and continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and tooling domains.

Formación

• 5+ years of Product Design and Evaluation experience for Refrigerated Products.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Microsoft Office proficient.
• Competent in 3D solid modeling (SolidEdge preferred).
• Ability to review CFD (CFD) and FEA (Finite element analysis) simulations.
• Proficiency in explaining simulation data to the engineering team and translating results into actionable design improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, oral & written.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Lead Engineers on conceptual design and development of refrigerated display cases.
• Design for Manufacturing using formed sheet metal, copper tubing, electrical assemblies, welded frames, sub-assemblies, and system assemblies.
• Plan and coordinate product releases within PLM system.
• Support improvement of innovation, quality, function and cost of the product.
• Initiate studies of new designs to incorporate cost-effective technology.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams for on-time release of quality products.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver accurate engineering information including BOM and specs.
