Hussmann, a leader in commercial refrigeration equipment, seeks a Design Engineer to support and develop new refrigerated display cases. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time, performing concept design, CFD/FEA review, and design validation.

Responsibilities include design for manufacturability, plan and coordinate releases in PLM, and drive cost and quality improvements through hands-on troubleshooting and prototype testing.

Formación

• 5+ years of Product Design and Evaluation experience for Refrigerated Products.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office proficient; SolidEdge or similar CAD experience.
• Ability to review CFD/FEA results and translate into design improvements.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Lead Engineers on conceptual design and development of refrigerated display cases.
• Design for Manufacturing using formed sheet metal, copper tubing, electrical assemblies, welded frames, and sub-assemblies.
• Plan and coordinate product releases within the PLM system and ensure on-time delivery.
• Support innovation, quality, function, and cost improvements across products.
• Perform troubleshooting and implement corrective actions on products and tooling.
• Validate new designs via prototypes and first article inspections; resolve manufacturing issues.
• Prepare complete engineering documentation including BOMs, specifications, test reports.
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEAs, DVP&R within the release process.
