Job summary

Fabcon seeks a Design Engineer to perform economical engineering designs for precast products that meet structural and constructability requirements. You will collaborate with drafters, mentors, supervisors, and other specialists to deliver accurate shop drawings and field fixes as needed.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, EIT certification, and knowledge of concrete/steel design. PE preferred; strong problem solving and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required; structural emphasis preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
• PE license is preferred.
• Strong understanding of concrete and steel design (ACI and AISC codes).
• Familiar with IBC and ASCE 7 loads and wind/snow calculations.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents to understand scope and direction of projects.
• Develop efficient designs based on Fabcon standards and industry codes.
• Review shop drawings for technical accuracy with drafters and engineers.
• Support production and field personnel to ensure timely delivery and execution.
