Job summary
Contech Engineered Solutions seeks a Sr. Design Engineer to lead structural design and analysis for precast concrete projects, from conception through submittals.
You’ll coordinate with sales, drafting, estimators, and production, ensuring quality and on-time delivery while traveling toSalt Lake City, UT and Caldwell, ID as needed. Ideal candidates hold a PE license with 5+ years in precast/steel design, strong AutoCAD/RISA-3D skills, and familiarity with IBC/ACI/PCI codes; remote work is
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years in precast concrete, reinforced concrete and steel design; precast experience preferred.
- PE license and ability to register in multiple states.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MathCAD, Concise, RISA-3D; FE analysis a plus.
- Familiarity with IBC, ASCE7, ACI318, PCI, AISC, AWS codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication; travel to Salt Lake City, UT and Caldwell, ID.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering, submission, and project management of structural designs.
- Review shop drawings and submittals; address non-conformances.
- Perform analysis and design of precast structures; ensure code compliance.
- Proactively solve problems and communicate with customers.
- Coordinate with sales, production, and project stakeholders.
- Support sales, estimating, and field operations; ensure safety and compliance.
