Job summary
Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to design precast concrete structures and cladding while enabling remote work. You will lead structural design, analysis, shop drawing reviews, and project management for projects ranging from bridges to commercial facilities.
You will collaborate with sales, estimation, and production teams, ensuring code compliance and effective client communication. Travel to Salt Lake City, UT and Caldwell, ID is required as projects demand.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with preference for Structural emphasis.
- 5+ years in precast concrete, reinforced concrete, and steel design.
- Professional Engineer registration with multi-state eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design, submission, and project management for precast structures.
- Perform analysis and design to ensure code compliance (IBC, ASCE7, ACI318, PCI, AISC).
- Review shop drawings and submittals, address non-conformances.
- Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to meet client needs.
- Support sales and estimating with engineering input and provide production support.
- Uphold health, safety, quality, and environmental programs.
