Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a Design Engineer to advance independently, take ownership of projects, and mentor junior staff. You will perform design work for utilities, coordinating with project management to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities include producing detailed documents, reviewing drawings, and guiding teams through the design lifecycle from initiation to closeout.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree is required or strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Experience with design reviews and mentoring junior staff is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering systems for overhead and subsurface utility projects following codes and client specs.
• Independently address complex challenges with minimal oversight.
• Coach and mentor entry‑level staff and conduct peer reviews of designs.
