Job summary

KSB GIW, Inc. in Grovetown, Georgia, is seeking a Design Engineer II to support product design, analysis, and manufacturing for GIW pump products.

The role collaborates with Project Managers, Application Engineers, and Vendors to develop engineering solutions that meet customer requirements and GIW standards. The position emphasizes design validation, technical documentation, and coordination with CAD operators, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement in processes and product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering required.
• 3–5 years engineering experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with pump systems, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD tools and engineering systems to support product development and design activities.
• Review customer orders and specs to ensure design requirements are defined.
• Provide technical support to Engineers regarding equipment specifications and requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for equipment and components.
• Perform design checks and assist in assembly design activities.
• Design sub-bases, guards, and support structures for pump installations.
• Coordinate CAD work and drafting resources.
• Provide engineering support to drafters and project teams.
• Develop design layouts and calculation tools; perform FEA as needed.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure GIW standards.
• Support field sales with technical discussions and layout options.
• Prepare General Arrangement drawings for order processing.
