Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Design Engineer II for Accessories to lead design efforts within the NPD Accessories team. You will drive technical decisions, develop robust 3D models, and coordinate with cross-functional groups to deliver innovative cutting, drilling, and fastening solutions.

You will analyze trade-offs, present milestones to management, and mentor junior engineers while supporting supplier qualification and engineering changes. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Typically 2–3 years in New Product Development or equivalent.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and drafting; strong mechanical intuition.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineer and technical resource on cross-functional NPD projects.
• Develop robust designs with trade-offs on performance, cost, and schedule.
• Prepare and present milestone reviews to stakeholders.
• Qualify suppliers for prototyping and development activities.
• Support engineering changes and manage part numbers/BOMs.
