Job summary

Sabre Industries, based in Texas, seeks an entry-level Design Engineer I to support the engineering, analysis, and design of telecommunications infrastructure, including macro towers, monopoles, foundations, and related components.

You will work under Professional Engineers, prepare calculations, and apply building codes while expanding knowledge of tower design and field applications. Travel ~10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or mechanical engineering, or related field.
• EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• 0–2 years structural engineering experience (internship/co-op acceptable).
• Experience with structural steel, concrete, foundations or towers preferred but not required.
• Experience with structural analysis software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist structural analysis and design of macro towers and foundations.
• Design tower components using established methods and criteria.
• Prepare calculations and reports for review by a Professional Engineer.
• Apply building codes and company engineering criteria to projects.
• Support evaluation of existing towers and loading changes.
