Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, is seeking a Design Engineer I to join its Electric Distribution Design team serving major utility clients in the Northeast. You will plan, design, and execute distribution projects, gaining hands‑on experience and mentorship from senior engineers.

You will work on engineering designs, prepare documentation, and collaborate with project managers to meet schedules and budgets while learning industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program (Electrical Engineering preferred).
• Internship, co‑op, or professional experience supporting electric utilities or distribution design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and calculations for electric distribution systems.
• Develop construction work packages and supporting design documentation.
• Utilize design software and GIS tools to create and maintain utility designs.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to support project delivery.
• Assist with field data collection and verification as needed.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and learn utility design standards and practices.
