Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Manchester, NH, seeks a Design Engineer to join the Burndy Small Hydent product family. You will read drawings, manage requirements, and coordinate across functions to support development and execution.

This role collaborates with manufacturing, product management, design engineering, sourcing and purchasing to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, validating new and existing products, creating 3D models and drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or similar is required
• 3-6 years of industry experience in product development
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and strong documentation of design, testing and validation processes
• Experience with regulatory requirements (UL, CSA, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in NPD teams to deliver new products with complex requirements and system design
• Design, develop, test and validate new and existing products
• Create 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Evaluate products, parts and processes for cost efficiency and reliability
• Contribute design modifications to improve quality and functionality
• Interact with engineers, sales, production, vendors and supply chain
