Job summary

Triumph Geared Solutions in Park City, UT, seeks a Design Engineer 3 focused on Additive Manufacturing to advance AM parts for aerospace applications. You will work with design teams, supplier partners, and Triumph sites to optimize models and drive AM adoption across products.

The role requires a mechanical/aerospace/materials background, CAD proficiency, and practical experience with Laser Powder Bed Fusion. Occasional travel and a strong engineering mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic problem solving/analytical skills, ingenuity and creativity.
• Proficiency with CAD software is required.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing internal standards to produce additively manufactured parts using Laser Powder Bed Fusion.
• Develop and execute plans to characterize AM material properties and test AM parts.
• Collaborate with design teams and suppliers to optimize AM build processes.
• Lead development and implementation of additive manufacturing in design and development efforts.
• Prepare initial drafts of engineering documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with manufacturing for smooth transition from design to manufacturability.
• Stay current with aerospace drive systems and AM industry trends.
