Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer specializing in the design and engineering of secure enclosures and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ICD705 requirements and standards, RF energy and STC sound attenuation, and possess high-level CAD or technical drawing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and engineer secure enclosures and SCIFs that meet or exceed ICD705 requirements and standards.
  • Develop and implement solutions for RF energy and STC sound attenuation to ensure the security and confidentiality of information.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and CAD models to guide the construction and implementation of secure facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all relevant security, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Conduct site assessments and provide recommendations for enhancements or modifications to existing secure enclosures and SCIFs.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices related to secure facility design.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and engineering secure enclosures and SCIFs in accordance with ICD705 requirements.
  • Strong understanding of RF energy and STC sound attenuation principles and technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification or specialized training in secure facility design and engineering.
  • Experience with project management and leading design projects from conception to completion.
  • Familiarity with additional security standards and regulations.
