Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking an experienced individual to provide surge support for design checking of aircraft interior drawings. You will review high volumes of CATIA-based interior components, validate plans, and ensure supplier designs meet weight and fit constraints.

This contract role focuses on verification and no new design creation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in aerospace/mechanical engineering, 8+ years in design and CATIA, and familiarity with GD&T and PLM tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in design and design checking.
• Proficiency with mechanical design and background in aerospace interiors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Astronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with CATIA V5.
• Proficiency in CAD software (preferably 3DEXPERIENCE or CATIA V5/V6).
• Knowledge of GD&T standards and tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of PLM and requirements management tools (Enovia or 3DEXPERIENCE a plus).

Contract Opportunity to provide surge support for Design Checking necessary to review mechanical systems engineering drawings within the aircraft interiors as part of verification and validation plans. This position focuses on design checking of interior drawings (seats, walls, handles, doors, belts, etc.), and does not involve avionics or new design creation. Work Environment

The position is based at the Tustin Headquarters, which features a dynamic and innovative workspace designed to foster creativity and collaboration. The headquarters focuses on research and development and is located at FLIGHT at Tustin Legacy, a creative office campus situated on 17 acres with almost 372,000 square feet of space. The contract is for 6 months or more, with a straight 40-hour workweek in Pacific Time.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tustin, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
