Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking an experienced individual to provide surge support for design checking of aircraft interior drawings. You will review high volumes of CATIA-based interior components, validate plans, and ensure supplier designs meet weight and fit constraints.

This contract role focuses on verification and no new design creation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in aerospace/mechanical engineering, 8+ years in design and CATIA, and familiarity with GD&T and PLM tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in design and design checking.
• Proficiency with mechanical design and background in aerospace interiors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Astronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with CATIA V5.
• Proficiency in CAD software (preferably 3DEXPERIENCE or CATIA V5/V6).
• Knowledge of GD&T standards and tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of PLM and requirements management tools (Enovia or 3DEXPERIENCE a plus).

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical systems engineering drawings within the aircraft interiors.
• Support the development and review of validation and verification plans.
• Ensure supplier designs meet fit, form, and function requirements while adhering to weight budgets.
• Review and release supplier-provided drawings.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers throughout design and production.
