Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation Appleton facility is seeking an Engineer II / Checker / Data Integrity to review interior outfitting designs for new aircraft. You will verify CAD work in CATIA V5 and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with company standards and design methods.

As part of the Structural/Mechanical team, you will support lead engineers, help meet schedules, and apply policies while solving technical problems in cabinet fabrication, water/waste systems, and seating installations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related curriculum required; 18 months related engineering experience.
  • Experience credit will be considered for related advanced degrees—Master's up to 2 years, PhD up to 4 years in applicable field.
  • Catia V5 and AutoCAD experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Review engineering designs for interior outfittings to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Verify CATIA V5/AutoCAD outputs against design methods and company standards.
  • Support lead engineers to meet manufacturing schedules and milestones.
  • Coordinate with Structural/Mechanical Engineering Lead or Group Head as directed.

Engineer II / Checker / Data Integrity - Appleton WIin GAC Appleton

This is a Data Integrity engineering position (Checker) in the Structural/Mechanical department for Completions Engineering. Responsibilities primarily involve reviewing engineering designs of new and derivative versions of interior furnishings and amenities as part of outfitting new aircraft. Examples include custom cabinetry such as galleys, lavatories, closets, storage compartments, interior peripheries, water/waste systems, entertainment equipment installations, and seating installations. The Data Integrity Engineer will review design work created using AutoCAD and CATIA V5 and will ensure designs are consistent with company standards and accepted design methods. Assignments are executed under the direction of the Structural/Mechanical Engineering Lead engineer or Group Head to meet the manufacturing schedule. Additional responsibilities are out lined in the job description and as assigned.

Required: Catia V5 and AutoCAD experience

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. 18 months related Engineering experience. Experience credit will be considered for related advance degrees limited to 2 years for Master's and 4 years for PhD in field applicable to the job position.

Position Purpose

Performs engineering work related to the investigation and the solution of technical problems associated with research, design, development, service and manufacture of Gulfstream aircraft.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

  1. Solves typical engineering problems within assigned discipline .
  2. Provides technical assistance to engineering staff and contributes to completion of project milestones .
  3. Responsible for a complex engineering assignment, or a full project of lesser complexity .
  4. Follows established schedules while developing plans for engineering assignments .
  5. Obtains appropriate level of supervisor approvals for work accuracy and adequacy .
  6. Proficiently applies company/organization policies and procedures .

Additional Functions:

  1. Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements .
  2. Maintains a current and up-to-date knowledge of developments and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise .

Perform other duties as assigned.

  5. Contacts are primarily within the organization, with occasional customer contacts on routine issues.
  6. Works under general supervision for routine tasks of minor complexity.
  7. With supervision/mentorship, can coordinate the activities for lower level engineering staff.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
