Systems Technology Forum LTD in San Diego is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to support a US Navy program. You will plan and track installation management activities, analyze operations, and provide CM and documentation support throughout production and deployment.

The role emphasizes developing installation plans, reviewing design changes, preparing JCFs, ICDs, ship documents, and coordinating site surveys.

Qualifications

Must have at least seven (7) years of experience in Systems Engineering.
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or Industrial Design.

Responsibilities

Plans, integrates, tracks, coordinates, and executes installation management activities.
Analyzes installation and production operations and systems; provides risk reduction recommendations.
Supports Configuration Management with technical recommendations and tracks installation changes.
Prepares installation documentation (JCFs, ICDs, SIDs, EDDs, SCDs).
Prepares shore-related products (Standard Plans, Test Plans, BESEPs, FRCB inputs, IDPs, Site Surveys).
Updates and maintains engineering documentation during production (ECP process).
Prepares, reviews, and supports test plans and events.

Job Summary

Supports a US Navy Program. Works on preliminary designs and specifications and evaluate the numerous and frequent change in design and performance which may affect the assigned equipment prior to and during production. Other tasks include, reviewing new approaches to circuitry and power distribution or incorporation of automatic self-test methods in equipment design.

Telework is not supported. Travel is not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Plans, integrates, tracks, coordinates, and executes installation management activities.
Analyzes installation and production operations and systems, to include providing recommendations for risk reduction strategies.
Provides technical support for production and installation Configuration Management, including technical recommendations to track, report, and manage production, procurement, and installation activities. Tracks all installation changes, approvals, and associated documentation; and coordinate ship‑check‑s, site surveys, and installation schedule activities.
Prepares installation documentation such as Justification Cost Forms (JCFs), ICDs, SHIPALT Installation Drawings (SIDs), Equipment Delivery Dates (EDDs), and Ship Change Documents (SCDs).
Prepares shore-related products such as Standard Plans, Test Plans, Installation SOVT Reports, Base Electronic System Engineering Plans (BESEPs), Fleet Readiness Control Board (FRCB) inputs, Installation Design Plans (IDPs) and Site Survey Reports.
Updates, maintains, and modernizesengineering documentation during the production phase as result of the ECP process.
Prepares, reviews, and supports test plans, test readiness review briefings, and test events.

The minimum salary starts at $140,000 and the max is negotiable based on experience
