Job summary

Systems Technology Forum is seeking an experienced engineer to support a US Navy program. The role focuses on preliminary designs, evaluating design and performance changes, and considering automatic self-test methods in equipment design.

On-site work is required with no telework; travel is not required. The candidate will prepare and review SHIPALT docs, ICDs, BESEPs, and installation plans, while ensuring configuration management and test readiness throughout production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or Industrial Design.
• Secret clearance required.
• Salary starts at $140,000 and is negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, integrates, tracks, coordinates, and executes installation management activities.
• Analyzes installation and production operations and systems; provides risk reduction recommendations.
• Supports production and installation Configuration Management; tracks changes and coordinates ship-checks, surveys, and installation schedules.
• Prepares installation documentation such as JCFs, ICDs, SHIPALT SIDs, EDDs, and SCDs.
• Develops shore-related products like BESEPs, FRCB inputs, IDPs and Site Survey Reports.
• Updates and modernizes engineering documentation during production under the ECP process.
• Prepares, reviews, and participates in test plans and readiness reviews and events.

Job Summary

Supports a US Navy Program. Works on preliminary designs and specifications and evaluate the numerous and frequent change in design and performance which may affect the assigned equipment prior to and during production. Other tasks include, reviewing new approaches to circuitry and power distribution or incorporation of automatic self-test methods in equipment design.

Telework is not supported. Travel is not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plans, integrates, tracks, coordinates, and executes installation management activities.
• Analyzes installation and production operations and systems, to include providing recommendations for risk reduction strategies.
• Provides technical support for production and installation Configuration Management, including technical recommendations to track, report, and manage production, procurement, and installation activities. Tracks all installation changes, approvals, and associated documentation; and coordinate ship-checks, site surveys, and installation schedule activities.
• Prepares installation documentation such as Justification Cost Forms (JCFs), ICDs, SHIPALT Installation Drawings (SIDs), Equipment Delivery Dates (EDDs), and Ship Change Documents (SCDs).
• Prepares shore-related products such as Standard Plans, Test Plans, Installation SOVT Reports, Base Electronic System Engineering Plans (BESEPs), Fleet Readiness Control Board (FRCB) inputs, Installation Design Plans (IDPs) and Site Survey Reports.
• Updates, maintains, and modernizesengineering documentation during the production phase as result of the ECP process.
• Prepares, reviews, and supports test plans, test readiness review briefings, and test events.
