Job summary

Sandis in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Design Engineer to join our civil design team. You will contribute to land development site designs, storm drainage, and utility planning, collaborating with architects and MEP engineers on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• 2+ years of relevant civil design experience is preferred.
• EIT certification is preferred and demonstrates foundational competence.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential for design tasks.
• Familiarity with rough and precise grading and utility plans is beneficial.
• Knowledge of sanitary sewer systems including lift stations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading and stormwater management.
• Design utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain.
• Assist with fire flow tests.
• Interact with Architects, Landscape Architects, and MEP Engineers as part of the design team.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including review of submittals and RFIs.
• Conduct engineering assessments and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies.

Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. Our ideal candidate is located in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan area with experience in civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including storm drainage programs and AutoCAD.
