Job summary

Sandis is seeking a Design Engineer in the Denver Metropolitan area with civil design, permitting, and AutoCAD experience. The role involves designing land development site plans, water, sanitary, and stormwater utilities, and supporting projects through construction.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 1+ year of related experience, and familiarity with grading plans and stormwater design. EIT is preferred. Sandis offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and stormwater design.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans.
• Design of utility systems including water, sanitary, and storm drain.
• Assist with fire flow tests.
• Interact with other members of a design team including Architects, Landscape Architects, and MEP Engineers.
• Engineering support during construction, including review of material submittals, answering RFIs, site observations among other things.
• Conduct engineering assessments.
• Prepare technical engineering reports.
• Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies.
