Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer in Peoria, IL. You will develop Creo 3D models and detailed drawings, focusing on welded structures, sheet metal, and access systems to meet ASME Y14.5 standards.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, an engineering or technical degree (preferred but not required), and strong design for manufacturability and validation expertise. This on-site position offers relocation support and a yearly bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform design validation and provide design concepts.

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• CREO or similar 3D modeling and 2D drawing experience
• Drawings conforming to ASME Y14.5
• Welded structure design
• Access system design (Handrails, walkway, platforms, stairs/ladders, gates, hinges, latches, etc.)
• Sheet metal design
• Design to meet regulation compliance and to meet internal design standards
• Will start with modeling and drawings then providing design concepts
• Design validation experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Engineering or Technical degree preferred but not required
• Master's degree is overqualified
• 5+years of work experience

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Heavy equipment experience/knowledge (mining, construction or ag equipment)

DESIRED SKILLS:

• ISO 2867 knowledge is a plus
