Overview
Design and development role with emphasis on design, simulation, and supplier management. Proficiency in CAD/Simulation tools and PDM systems is required. Strong communication and autonomous work capability are expected.
Responsibilities (inferred)
- Apply simulation-led design to iterate concepts quickly based on analysis results.
- Develop concepts with a solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturability.
- Engage in design and development activities across the product lifecycle, including production handoff.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure design criteria are met.
Must have skills
- 50% Design / 50% Testing would be ideal; some element of test experience is positive. Not required to be a test engineer, but familiarity with the testing process is beneficial.
- Strong design engineering capability with the ability to meet or beat deadlines.
- Ability to own concept development from initial idea to production.
- Supplier management, simulation testing experience, and design engineering experience.
