Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Hartford, AL to lead design activities for a commercial HVAC manufacturer. You will supervise a drafting team, design mechanical systems using CAD tools, and partner with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver innovative solutions.

The role requires proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Excel, with a background in mechanical engineering. On-site position with regular business hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Looking for a Design Engineer role in Hartford, AL where you lead product innovation? Advantage Technical is hiring on behalf of a leading commercial HVAC manufacturer seeking a Senior Design Engineer to drive product development from concept through production launch. You'll supervise a talented drafting team, design complex mechanical systems using CAD, and partner with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Job Duties

• Design mechanical components for product development using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
• Develop engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and bills of materials
• Conduct product testing, performance analysis, and cost evaluation
• Supervise drafting team and manage engineering workloads and priorities

Education Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication or aluminum extrusions
• HVAC product or manufacturing environment experience
• CNC programming experience with AlphaCAM

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in manufacturing facility
• Occasional travel to facilities or suppliers as needed
