Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Hartford, AL to lead design activities for a commercial HVAC manufacturer. You will supervise a drafting team, design mechanical systems using CAD tools, and partner with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver innovative solutions.

The role requires proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Excel, with a background in mechanical engineering. On-site position with regular business hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of engineering, design, drafting, or manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components for product development using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Develop engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and bills of materials.
• Conduct product testing, performance analysis, and cost evaluation.
• Supervise drafting team and manage engineering workloads and priorities.
• Coordinate prototype fabrication and testing activities.
• Support manufacturing operations with troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Create CNC programming files and manufacturing layouts.
• Assist with product launches and production implementation.
