United CoolAir is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to support the development of new HVAC equipment and the continuous improvement of existing product lines. This role works closely with Engineering, Sales, Production Control, and Manufacturing teams to ensure designs are accurately developed, documented, and communicated throughout the production process.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong CAD design experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D models using SolidWorks CAD software.
• Develop and update 2D mechanical drawings and DXF files.
• Create and maintain piping diagrams using DraftSight.
• Prepare and maintain sheet metal and tubing Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Excel and Macola.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, and Assembly teams through Microsoft Teams and shop floor consultations.
• Assist the Sales Department by providing drawings, technical information, and design support for customers and prospective clients.
• Monitor and respond to emails and Microsoft Teams communications in a timely manner.
• Maintain engineering files, documentation, and required paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support engineering change processes and ensure updates are communicated across departments.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience using DraftSight or similar CAD software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to both listen and provide clear instructions.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
