The Container Store is seeking a Designer/Sales Specialist to design customized space solutions and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer service. You will lead design projects in-store, collaborate with team members, and promote all services including In-Home Designing and Organizing.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• 2-5 years sales and clientele experience preferred.
• Design experience and spatial intelligence.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Maintains professional appearance and wears required dress code when representing The Container Store.
• Knowledge and passion for following trends in the custom closets and retail industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
• Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and speech at all levels.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with customers to design customized plans clearly and professionally.
• Drives In-Home Designing, In-Home Organizing, installation, financing, and loyalty services with each customer.
• Focuses on closing sales efficiently to build repeat business.
• Maintains clear communication with Managers and Support Center to complete projects from inquiry to installation.
• Leads the sales floor and partners with Managers for other tasks.
• Keeps up-to-date with training, product knowledge, promotions and company philosophies.
• Leads daily maintenance of the custom space area and visual presentation.
• Acts as a brand ambassador and supports company initiatives.
